The Boston Bioimage Analysis Course (BoBiAC) is a 6-day intensive program organized by the Image Analysis Collaboratory (IAC) at Harvard Medical School, offering a hands-on introduction to image processing and analysis on fluorescence microscopy images with Python at its core. Designed for beginners, the course requires no prior experience in image analysis or programming. The only prerequisite is an interest in learning Python and applying it to bioimage analysis concepts through practical exercises.

Each day consists of a mix of invited lectures, lectures explaining key bioimage analysis concepts, interspersed with practical, hands-on exercises using Python or Python-based software.
These exercises will be completed either step-by-step as a class or in small groups for collaborative problem-solving.
Every morning, we will start the day with coffee, an open discussion (Q&A) and a summary, where participants can ask questions about the previous day’s topics or discuss broader image analysis concepts.
Active participation is highly encouraged throughout the course, and we invite you to ask questions and engage in discussions to make the most of this learning experience.
